New York Caribbean Carnival 2016
New York Caribbean Carnival 2016 presented by the West Indian American Day Carnival Association will be taking place Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, New York 11238 from Thursday, September 1st, 2016 to Monday, September 5th, 2016 at various times.
Caribbean Carnival is a colorful, creative, infectious and scintillating feature of Caribbean culture. The New York Caribbean Carnival Week kicks off with “Funky Reggae Party” complete with Roots, Rhythm and Reggae is full of vibes. The carnival will be featuring Kay Jones, Batingula Art Jr Company, Abundance Dance Company, Blood line Dance Theater, Young African designers, Jule dancers, DJ Armani, DJ Big Boy Allen and many more artists to entertain and mesmerize the audience. On Saturday, September 3rd, 2016 kids can enjoy at the Junior Carnival Parade, it will be featuring Aaron Duncan, Kings and Queens, Junior band competition and music by DJ One plus. Labor Day Parade will be showcasing dancers in colorful costumes, reggae, and calypso music on Eastern Parkway, beginning at Schenectady Avenue and ending at Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn with Caribbean food and craft vendors. Admission for the Junior Carnival Parade is $2, the rest of the admission for other entertainment ranges from $30 to $60 and some events are free.
