Brooklyn Children’s Museum’s “Celebrate Kwanzaa”

The 9th Annual Brooklyn Children’s Museum’s “Celebrate Kwanzaa” is ready to entertain and engage your kids. Step in to watch an interactive presentation on the celebration of Kwanzaa and make it a point to attend with your kids so that they can know all the symbols and principles that make up the festival. Check out Sylvia’s Story Corner where kids will be entertained with a perfect story. Africa Lives in A New World Festival by Sule Greg Wilson, narrating the story of Kwanzaa. Join Ms. Cheryl the Gourd Lady for the Kwanzaa Music Presentation it’s an overall gourd presentation for families in the Commons Theater. Kids can participate and make a Gourd Instrument Workshop from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm that is ideal for kids of the age 3 and up. The families will get their turn to play their own gourds through storytelling. Kids of all ages are welcome. The admission costs $11 per person and free for BCM Members and children below the age of 12 months.

Kwanzaa celebrations will rock at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, 145 Brooklyn Avenue, Brooklyn, New York 11213 on Friday, December 29th, 2017 and Saturday, December 30th, 2017 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
