Things To Do in Columbus This Weekend, June 8th – June 10th, 2018

Youth Biz Lemonade Festival Workshop

You surely remember sitting behind your fold up table, peddling cold lemonade to unsuspecting passersby on a hot summer day, right? It was your ticket to buying a new bike to cruise the streets all summer long, and whether you knew it or not, it was your first taste of entrepreneurship! The 5th Annual Franklin County Youth Lemonade Festival on July 14-15 is coming up, so you’ll want to prepare for this event by attending this awesome workshop at the library. You and the kids will figure out how to build a lemonade stand, provide outstanding customer service, special recipes to keep them coming back, food safety tips, financing, marketing, and much more. This event is free to attend.

Saturday, June 9th, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at Grandview Heights Public Library, 1685 W 1st Ave, Columbus

Go Creeking

It’s nearly summer and that means that it’s time to get out into this beautiful sunshine and do a little bit of splashing in the creek! Strap on your old sneakers or water shoes and head on down to Big Meadow to explore the Olentangy River looking for animals. This simple nature activity is the perfect way to get the kids out of the house and enjoy the beauty of the season before it gets hot. Be sure to bring closed toed shoes and a complete change of clothes, towels and shoes for afterwards. This event is free to attend.

Saturday, June 9th, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Big Meadow Picnic Area Highbanks, 9466 Columbus Pike, Lewis Center
