Come help plow, plant, and water seeds in our children’s garden then make a scarecrow to keep watch over the crops. Children ages 2 through 5 learn about themes through a story and a unique activity, enjoy a fun craft project and have a wagon ride. Fee includes one parent and one child. Space is limited. Registration will close end of business day the Wednesday before each program as long as there is still availability. Admission is $11.00 parent/child ticket; $10.00 for members; $7.00 per additional child; $4.00 per additional adult.

Go behind the scenes at the Perot Museum with after-hours access to intriguing exhibits, exclusive demonstrations, and hands-on discovery to see what drives you wild about science and nature. 3… 2… 1… Blast off! Get ready for a cosmic adventure at the special Journey to Space Sleepover on November 3, here at the Perot Museum. Sleepover guests will get as close to being in space as one can get from Earth. It’s an incredible and unforgettable hands-on and climb-aboard adventure of science fun and learning that can’t be found anywhere else. They’ll experience the sights, sounds, and smells on board an orbiting space station, and try their hands at some of the feats of engineering that support astronauts. Plus, you’ll get to play Stump the Scientist with physicist Dr. T. Powell. This event is designed especially for children ages 6 through 14. One chaperone (21 or older) is required for every four guests. Children under 6 may not attend. Admission is $50.00 per child; $40.00 per adult chaperone.

Kids’ Creative Reuse Workshop – STEAM Series: Engineering featuring Marble Runs and DIY Fidget Spinners On Saturday, November 4th! Scrap goes full STEAM ahead in its monthly Kids’ Creative Reuse Workshops – the STEAM series. The third class in the series explores engineering and how they can connect it with creative reuse. Using energy, gravity and various materials kids will create intricate marble runs and upcycled fidget spinners. Kids will leave with a knowledge of how to creatively reuse materials to explore simple machines, systems, and structures. Admission is $15.00 per person.
