Kids Cooking Class: Pinocchio and friends hosted by Ollie Cigliano will be taking place at
Friday, July 12, 2019, from 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
Parents have a fun date night on the town while your child (ages 5 and up) enjoy an evening of food, Italian language and culture, literature and film. Kids will make Pinocchio’s fresh fruit and vegetable skewers with turquoise fairy goddess dipping sauce, gipsy’s baguette. Stromboli (pizza rolls) stuffed with gipsy’s fillings of choice (provolone, mozzarella, prosciutto, salami, hard-boiled egg, olives, pepperoni, roasted sweet and mild red bell pepper, etc). Roasted finocchio (fennel), radishes and potatoes and Jiminy cricket pistachio cannoli. Parents drop off at 4:30, children have a snack, engage in a hands-on cooking class of all of the above, with excerpts read from “Pinocchio” as they pertain to the menu, and then watch the film “Pinocchio” while they enjoy dessert. Children will learn some basic words and phrases in Italian as they pertain to the menu, literature, and film. Costs: $ 65.
