This is a Scottish event taking place at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 W. Harbor Boulevard, Ventura, California 93001 on Saturday, October 13, 2018 and Sunday, October 14, 2018 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Get Yer Kilt on! Enjoy local Scottish music ensemble, some Scottish country dancing, Massed Pipe bands, Scottish Fiddling Competition, Scottish Entertainers, Clan Tents, Highland Re-enactments, Children’s Glen, Dart Competition, and more. Try out varieties of beer from Ventura’s best breweries at the first annual beer tasting event. Families can enjoy at the 6th Annual Seaside Street Dance, learn dance in dance workshop and show off at the street. At the Children’s Glen there are so many fun things to do and activities to experience, kids can enjoy and engage in old-fashioned three-legged races and a castle beanbag toss. Little ones can learn about the bagpipes, Scottish dance steps, try your hand at weaving, and even an archaeological dig for Scottish treasure. There are various competitions and events like piping and Drumming competition, Scottish Fiddle Competition, Pipe Band competitions, Highland Dancing competition, Beer sampling in Santa Cruz Building, Celtic Harp Orchestra, Whisky Seminar, Highland Dance Workshop, Herding Dogs Demonstration and much much more. To insure that there is something for everyone, they’re lining up a stellar group of entertainers presenting music and activity for young and old alike. Each year they feature different entertainers to keep the music fresh and relevant. Admission for 1 day will cost $ 20 for adults, $ 17 for seniors, $ 5 for children 6-12 and free for children 5 and under.
