DRONES: Is the Sky the Limit?

DRONES: Is the Sky the Limit? Is a new exhibit taking place at the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum, Pier 86, W 46th Street and 12th Avenue, New York 10036 until Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at various times.

Little tech savvy’s are welcome to explore the history of drone technology, from the earliest unmanned flying machines to advanced systems. A variety of drones, historical artifacts, model airplanes and rare videos will be on display to educate and entertain your kids. The exhibition will also feature an “immersion” theater where visitors will experience dramatic images captured by the unique cinematographic perspective of the drone.  Kids can plan, design, and fly in this Intrepid Adventure, they will get a chance to learn how drones work, then use basic programming to plan out the route for a drone in our interactive workshop. There will be a game station, activities and various other events and programs taking place every week. The exhibition is free with museum admission but registration is required, admission is $31 for adults, $24 for children 5-12, and free for children 4 and under.
