Interact with your own senses at the American Museum of Natural History, Central Park West at 79th Street, New York 10024-5192 until August 12, 2018 from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Now kids can explore and learn a lot using their senses at this innovative program called Our Senses which hosts eleven interactive galleries that are intended to test your kid’s perceptions. They have a special room with changing lights that will display an array of different images depending on which light they project from red, blue, or green. At another space, they will let visitors check this time in black and white so that you can reveal what happens when the senses disagree. Your eyes will see walls and a floor that seems to be curved and rippled but your feet will feel a flat surface beneath. The subject covers how our brain fills in gaps, resolves conflicts, corrects errors, and triggers memories, what happens when our senses conflicts, how our brain focuses attention on particular cues and details and much more. This event is suitable for kids of all Ages. The exhibit will cost $28 for adults, $22.50 for students or seniors, $16.50 for children of the age 2–12; the gen admission is included with this price.
