The annual Taste of Tribeca is back with a bang at
When: Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Taste of Tribeca is an annual outdoor culinary festival benefitting arts and enrichment programs at local public elementary schools PS 150 and PS 234. It takes place every year on the third Saturday in May, on Duane Street between Greenwich and Hudson in the historic Lower Manhattan neighbourhood of Tribeca. Taste of Tribeca features dishes from over 60 of Tribeca’s best restaurants; along with living entertainment; family-friendly Kids, Family and Sports Zones; and wine, beer and cider tours of local shops and pubs. It’s a unique event that unites the entire Tribeca community. Located in tree-lined Duane Park, the Kids Zone offers a wide range of activities and live performances to thrill and entertain our youngest patrons. Come by for arts and crafts with Craft Studio and Spotlight Kids, board games with Brooklyn Game Lab, and robotics with Brooklyn Robot Foundry. Also be sure to catch the following demonstrations: BB Skate Club, Modern Martial Arts, Arc Athletics, Dance with Miss Rachel. At the Family Zone on Greenwich and Duane, Léman Manhattan Preparatory School will offer STEAM and robotics projects from The Léman WonderLab, spring art activities including face painting and tote bag design, and tastings of spring vegetables from Léman’s Culinary Team. Further west, on Greenwich and Harrison, checks out the Sports Zone produced by our friends at Manhattan Youth, featuring clay-making and sports-themed carnival games for young athletes. Wine, Beer & Cider Tours: Step away from our festival grounds and visit some of our neighbourhood’s favourite shops and bars for samplings of specially selected wines, and New York-crafted beers and ciders. No ticket is necessary for the wine tour. One ticket provides for two 4-ounce pours of beer or cider. Tickets costs: $ 45 for Early bird, $ 160 for 4 pack tickets, $ 5 for raffle tickets.
