OdySea ChillFest

OdySea ChillFest features a premium-sized ice skating area with ice skate rentals and daily family activities and events outside Scottsdale’s OdySea Aquarium. Skate with holiday mascots, enjoy scheduled evening shows, learn tips from skating pros and participate in other weekend events with falling snow and special effects. Guests can purchase s’mores kits to roast at new fire pits located around the ice rink throughout OdySea in the Desert’s holiday-themed, outdoor courtyard. The brand new OdySea Express train will be running, too. Your admission includes skate rental and 30-minute skating time. There will also be s’mores and fire pits sold separately by Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Admission is $5.00 per person.

The Polar Express

Ah, who doesn’t love The Polar Express? What if we told you that the Grand Canyon Railway transforms into a real-life Polar Express for the holidays? Pretty incredible, right? Experience the magic of The Polar Express, the classic children’s book by Chris Van Allsburg as The Grand Canyon Railway’s Polar Express comes to life when the train departs the Depot in Williams, AZ for a journey through the dark and quiet wilderness for a special visit to the “North Pole.” Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies while listening to the magical story. Watch the joy on the children’s faces when the train arrives at the North Pole, where Santa Claus and his reindeer are waiting. Winterhaven Festival of Lights

This will be the 68th year for the Winterhaven Festival of Lights – one of the longest running festivals of its kind in the country! You’ll find all kinds of great activities here, such as: lights, festive decorations, music, hay wagon and trolley rides here! The Festival of Lights celebrates the holiday season in Tucson and is visited by hundreds of thousands of people from all over southern Arizona. Moreover, the Festival is one the most important events for the Community Food Bank in Tucson. In 2016, $21,527 and 46,492 pounds of food were donated to the Food Bank through the Festival. Christmas at the Princess

The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess transforms into a glistening winter wonderland with a four-story musical tree, ice skating, Lagoon Lights, Princess Express Trains and Santa’s Secret Headquarters. Princesses Angelica and Noel, a huggable yeti named Shivers, squishable Graham (a walking s’more), Peppermint Penguin and Selfie Elfie host a Christmas character farewell at 9 pm nightly in the Enchanted Plaza.
