The i.d.e.a. Museum of Mesa hosts “Sonoran Safari,” an exhibit exploring the artistic landscape of the world’s 11th largest desert — the only place where saguaro cactus grows in the wild! Through art and hands-on activities, guests learn about native plants, animals, reptiles, and birds. Young artists and explorers can investigate the inside of a cactus, explore the desert at night in a black-light room, build a wildflower wall, write desert poetry, play games that address safety in extreme desert environments and more. Activities incorporate STEAM concepts. Admission is $9.00 per person; free for babies younger than 1.
Friday, February 9th, 2018 from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm at i.d.e.a Museum, 150 W. Pepper Place, Mesa.
