Ilé Bahia de San Antonio
Enjoy the amazing art of capoeira at the Ilé Bahia de San Antonio show over at the Carver Community Cultural Center. Brought to Brazil by African slaves, this stylized martial art is unique in that it combines elements of martial arts, dance and acrobatics performed to the background of Brazilian music and traditional instruments. You’ll watch in awe at the sheer agility, athleticism and precision of the dancers and their movements, and you’ll also love being able to learn about the rich historical significance of the centuries old art form. This event is free to attend and is suitable for all ages.
