SF’s Black History Festival

Be sure to celebrate this holiday weekend as we also welcome Black History Month! Beginning on Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday weekend and throughout February, the San Fran Public Library system honours Black history, culture and heritage with some really awesome programming that you need to check out. You’ll see special music, dance, crafts and storytelling events at every branch in the City, as well as film screenings and literary events for adults, interactive events for teens, hands-on activities for kids and exhibits, music and craft classes for the whole family! This event is free to attend and is suitable for all ages.

Citywide Roshambo Finals

Roshambo, also known as “Rock Paper Scissors”, is coming to the Tierra Linda Middle School as part of San Carlos’ 20th annual Week of the Family. Hundreds of families come together for fun, free activities in the San Carlos neighbourhood for one awesome week to strengthen relationships, promote family life, and have fun! The seventh annual San Carlos City-Wide Roshambo Contest is going down this Friday evening as part of Family Game Night, and you’ll get to see finalists and school champions participate in the finals for prizes! If you are interested in participating, just show up and sign up! Everyone is welcome to play – regardless of age! This event is free to attend and is suitable for all ages.
