Although Seattle isn’t still known as the “Jet City” it’s no doubt the perfect spot for your wee bold flyer to test out their piloting skills. This weekend let the kiddo strap into a flight harness and take a flight in one of the hang gliding simulators at the Aerospace Education Center, Museum of Flight, 9404 E. Marginal Way S. Tukwila WA 98108 on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. & 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The Museum of Flight is the world’s largest non-profit, independent space and air museum hosting dozens of experiences and exhibits, 175 spacecraft and aircraft and thousands of artifacts. If you kids have what it takes to be a pilot, the Aviation Learning Centre offers a one-hour memorable experience. The kids are treated to a close-up view of flying grade components, fasteners and materials. Before taking a flight in the professional-grade Cirrus SR20 simulators get to inspect them for safety, plot the course of flight and take off. Kids will get to experience working engine models, conduct high-speed aerodynamic experiments and see how aircraft are built. The Museum of Flight generally brings to life the incredible history of flight at a fee of $20 per participant of ages 10 and above. Kids of ages 14 years and below should be accompanied by an adult.
