Transport your little ones (from ages 3-9) with the hunger for history back to the simpler times of fireside storytelling and log cabins at Job Carr Cabin Museum, 2350 N. 30th St. Tacoma WA 98403 on Friday 24 August 2018 and every Friday until August 31st 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The little cabin located in Old Town Park signifies Tacoma’s birthplace and this summer it’s a magical place for the kids to enjoy a good tale highlighting the pioneer days dressed in leather vests, knitted shawls, hats, handkerchiefs and long cotton dresses that sweep along the floor. The little cabin is nothing short of a cozy ambiance with old portraits, imitation burning fire, storyboards, hanging quilts and tools. The children gather up in a semi-circle across the floor to enjoy a collection of stories and let their imaginations transport them back in time into Old Town. Later they retreat outdoors for crafts and games. All the activities are covered by a possible donation, so only get to pay what you can
