This Saturday, the 19th of October, for the first time Washington DC will be paying homage to the Lakota Music Project, courtesy of South Dakota Symphony Orchestra (SDSO). Performing live will be renowned SDSO’s Lakota flautist Bryan Akipa, Emmanuel Black Bear (singer), and many others. The event will be going at the National Museum of the American Indian, 4th Street Independence Avenue SW., Washington, from 2:00 pm, and will be open to people of all ages, absolutely free of charge.
