Head down to Jack London Square this whole weekend at the Eat Real Street Food Festival! This sweet event is one part state fair, apart street-food festival, and part block party to create a celebration of good food that you can’t miss. First off, you’ll learn where food comes from, who grows it, and how to make it, and then you’ll head out to partake in the street food trucks and carts serving a wide variety of food from tacos, BBQ, falafel, salads, sandwiches, curry, grilled meats and vegetables, noodles, fruit, ice cream, and hot dogs. There’s even space where you can find local food craft folks (cheese, charcuterie, pickles, jams, and more) and urban homesteading where you can learn what it takes to get in touch with your inner farmer/forager/brewer/baker/everything-maker. This event is free to attend and most food costs under $10.00.
