Salamander Stories
Thirteen species of salamander live in Washington but little is known of them. The Lewis Creek Story Time is reading two tales on the neighbourhood’s favourite amphibian to help enlighten children. Visit the Lewis Creek Park Visitor Center on September 7for this special session of storytelling and craft making. After the reading, kids are free to explore the trails or roam around the playground. Find out why the monthly series has gained a loyal following among kids and parents. The Center is located at 5808 Lakemont Blvd. Pick between two sessions, the first from 11:00am to 12 noon, and the second from 1:30pm to 2:30pm. The Story Time is recommended for ages 3 to 7. Entry is free, but registration is required.
