Macy’s Christmas Light Show
Macy’s Christmas Light Show is a Philadelphia holiday tradition that dates back half a century. At this great family-oriented event, you’ll see snowflakes, ballerinas and reindeer float beyond the atrium’s four-story-high velvet curtain. The famous Center City store housed in the historic Wanamaker Building, hosts this daily show, which uses more than 100,000 LED lights to project snowflakes, ballerinas and reindeer upon a four-story-high velvet curtain in the Grand Court atrium. The Light Show is accompanied by festive music from the world-renowned Wanamaker Grand Organ. Upstairs, Dickens Village transports visitors to 1840s London through a 6,000-square-foot walk-through experience, featuring 26 heart-warming scenes from A Christmas Carol. The Show Times are 10 a.m., Noon, 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m., 8 p.m. It is a free event for all ages. This is the last weekend.
