The Great Highwood Pumpkin Festival takes place in Downtown Highwood between Friday and Sunday but there are fun activities at Highwood City Hall all week long. During the weekend, enjoy pumpkin carving stations, trick-or-treating, carnival rides, vendors, and more. A few special events happening are the Superhero 5K Run/Walk on Saturday morning, the Pumpkin Pie Eating Contest on Saturday afternoon, and the Costume Contests on Sunday. It all culminates in an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for “Most Lit Jack-O-Lanterns Displayed”. Contribute with your own pumpkin and you will get a free weekend pass!
