If you have never visited Lake Katherine Nature Center & Botanic Gardens, you won’t find a better excuse to do so than this Sunday’s event. At the Monarch Butterfly Festival, you will not only get the opportunity to visit their butterfly tent but also to participate in several family-friendly activities. Those include children’s crafts, face painting, storytelling, and scarecrow making. There are also live animals, an arts & crafts fair, food vendors and an education tent for you to enjoy. Since they are not selling water bottles in order to reduce the use of harmful single-plastic, bring your own and fill it up as many times as you need. For only $7 per person, this is an event you will not want to miss!
Sunday, September 16th, 2018 from 11 am to 4:30 pm at Lake Katherine Nature Center & Botanic Gardens, 7402 Lake Katherine Dr, Palos Heights, IL 60463
Entry Fee: Free for children 2 and under; $7 for everyone else
