The 335-acre state park surrounding the pond, which is actually a kettle hole formed by retreating glaciers provides serenity after the bustle of the city. Bring mom here to explore the trails, visit s replica of Henry David Thoreau’s cabin, and maybe even swim in the clear waters of the lake. Pack a gourmet picnic and prepare for a family day outdoors.
When: Main entrance 8:00 am – 7:30 pm. The main entrance gate locks at 7:30pm and the exit gate locks at 8:00pm. All cars must be out of the parking lot at this time.
Cost: Parking fees for MA residents $8, and for non-MA residents $15.
